INSPIRING IN SOUTH AFRICA

Learning Expedition

South Africa has all the criteria for a great incentive trip. But for this large insurance company rewarding its sales representatives, the specifications were clear: an incentive, yes, but above all, an intelligent and innovative programme. We therefore canvassed, exchanged and worked on some particularly appreciated "LEX": Meeting with Kobus Havemann, private reserve manager and therefore "entrepreneur" who contributed to the change of attitude concerning the use of land in animal reserves. In Jo'burg, presentation of the Kliptown Youth Project by the founder of this tutoring programme which offers children a life that is not defined by survival, but by their ability to be active members of the community, to have dreams and, above all, to have hope in their future. In Cape Town, a presentation and discussion on microfinance in the heart of Philippi township at The Space Solution, to understand this low-income environment and how products or services are positioned in this market. The rest of the programme left room for fun and conviviality: Safari Quiz and "Big Five" photo competition, "Boma" aperitif accompanied by a children's choir and initiation to "Tam-Tam", Colour Rally in the Bo Kaap district, wine workshops with Mathieu Labaki, cellar master. To close the event, there will be an "Africa chic" evening at the Young Blood Gallery, a contemporary art space that reveals African talent from all artistic disciplines. As Shakira would say: "This time for Africa!
